I can offer the turret accessory for the Aminco Bowman most of the time as they are fairly common. They are okay but if you do not need one, please do not get one just because you think you might need one. They might be great if you need to subtract a background from a standard or you want to ratio from a known value and you need to do this over and over again quickly but there are somethings that can go wrong with the turret. I extend the two year warranty to the sample holders so it is not just your problem but again, if you don't really need it, why get it. I have found it very hard to change the seals in the turret. They need to be tight enough to seal the cooling fluid but not so tight as to restrict it's ability to turn, it's a delicate balance. I can repair the controllers if they fail as well. I have never had a problem but I have been told that the software has a bug that affects the turret. I have been working on these Aminco Bowman units since March 2006 and I have never seen his bug so you probably won't either but I might as well post it, if I know of it's existence.
